Project Description
We had a menacing sea and busted steering and tried to stay ahead of the low pressure system coming behind us, but it came faster and stronger than we thought. With the wind topping at more than 35kt with a big swell, we took refuge just at nightfall. We made a wise decision as it rained and the wind continued blowing the next day. We were in one of the least comfortable marinas as of yet. It was cold and rainy so we ate fondue. We left after two nights in the left overs of the storm. The waves were still big and the winds strong. As I was surfing waves at the helm, the steering went out. We continued with the emergency tiller and settled at another marina. A very different town this time. Very lively!
